Deciding Shape of Gardening Beds
Having trouble deciding how to shape new gardening beds?
It’s not as difficult as it may appear to be. After deciding the location of where you are planning to have your best as well as what type of plants will do well there, then you need to spend some time analyzing the area, to get a sense of what’s already in place and the type of garden you’re trying to create.
What’s the style of your home and already existing garden? Is it formal or informal? The rule of thumb is that geometric shaped beds, squares or rectangles, work best with formal homes whereas natural shaped beds are more conducive to an informal setting. My advice is to ‘go with your gut’. Experience is the best teacher.
